Tetra Tech has over 30 years-experience in the provision of Counter-Explosive Ordnance services totaling in excess of £ 535 million, to a variety of governmental and commercial clients. Tetra Tech is able to address chemical, biological and conventional munitions challenges on land and in a marine environment and draws on an operational footprint of 450 offices in over 100 countries.
Tetra Tech currently implements C-IED projects clearing critical infrastructure to enable stabilisation and return of displaced populations. C-IED activities include survey, High-Risk Search and clearance, disposal, generation of technical reports and forensic evidence capture. All projects have large national capacity building aspects and deploy mechanical, UAV and K-9 assets to support activities.
Advanced Geophysical Classification is used to accelerate clearance and reduce project cost through analysis of high-quality data enabling accurate determinations to be made as to whether buried objects are likely to be munitions or harmless debris. Tetra Tech has designed, installed and transitioned to national operation nuclear and radiological monitoring portals at border locations and key points in 35 countries.
As a member of the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) Review Board, Tetra Tech participates in working groups updating existing standards and generating new ones and is the current prime contractor globally for US State Department Counter-Explosive Ordnance activities including survey, demining, Battle Area Clearance, host nation strategic planning and stockpile management. In the UK, Tetra Tech implements UXO risk management activities in support of the UK MoD Defence Infrastructure Organisation, the Department for Education and commercial clients.
