Laser Optical Engineering (LOE) is a developer of novel laser systems with capabilities including spotting buried EOD and IED as well as explosive traces on surfaces.
LOE was established in 1996 as a spin out from Loughborough University. With a history in laser safety and non-destructive testing we have gained a reputation as a developer of innovative laser techniques.
Our standard range of laser shearography non-destructive testing equipment is suited to inspection of a broad range of materials, with particular suitability for composite materials. The system is adaptable and frequently customised to a specific application.
We have used our innovation skills to develop our Counter -EO technologies. Utilising different physical phenomena our ExDtect and MineDtect offer the capability to detect traces of explosive residue on surfaces and buried mines or IEDs. In addition, we have the capability to develop bespoke systems, for example, to detect IEDs disguised as rocks or other roadside objects.
Our history in laser safety ensures that all our systems are designed to be inherently safe for use by people under all conditions. LOE is independently ISO9001:2015 accredited.
