Brimstone’s operations are underpinned by our three-core values – integrity, professionalism, and knowledge.
It is our goal to provide full spectrum UXO risk management to our international portfolio of clients. Our namesake is a homage to eponymous EOD callsign used in the War in Afghanistan, where both managing director Aaron Florence and operations manager Andrew Lane proudly served in the Corps of Royal Engineers.
Incorporated in 2016, and starting trading in 2017, we remain the fastest-growing commercial unexploded ordnance management company in the UK with partnerships in construction, engineering, geological and defence sectors.
We have a range of technologies at our disposal, and are early adopters of drone technology in the UXO sector, demonstrating the success of the system in 2018 as Army Warfighting Experiment finalists. Establishing marine and global divisions in 2019, we are now diversifying our offering and pushing forward on increasingly complex and large-scale projects across the UK and beyond, including recent prequalification on the United Nation’s peace and security cluster framework.
In January 2021 we won a landmark £1.5m contract with Defence Infrastructure Organisation for a long-term clearance operation at former air weapons range RAF Cowden. Our success during the tender process is testament to our deeply dedicated and skilled team. Bringing to bear decades of military and commercial EOD expertise, novel technology, and commitment to the local Cowden community. Our RAF Cowden project builds upon company experience
of explosive demolitions on a commercial site. From 2018 – 2019 we carried out hundreds of explosives demolitions on over 3,000 items of ordnance, including over 2,500 anti-tank rifle grenades.
